After her last argument and subsequent Spellcard duel with fellow goddess Suwako Moriya, Kanako Yasaka was left very low on faith and suffering from a new curse developed by said goddess. Rendered smaller than any one of the frogs that Suwako was so fond of, Kanako returned to the grounds of her shrine to wait out the duration of the curse and plot some revenge.
However, as soon as she arrived, she found herself too weak to continue flying and opted to instead land on the stone pathway leading to the main building from the Shrine's steps. There she soon found herself falling victim to an unobservant Sanae Kochiya doing her chores. Almost instantly, Kanako was coated in dust and battered again and again by her miko's broom.
Sanae, for her part, had been aware that her goddesses had gotten into another fight, but was currently more concerned with enjoying the warm sunshine. She might have noticed she was moving a little more dust and dirt then usual, but she simply put a little more force into her strokes and the problem was dealt with.
