Not Small Enough

Anything was better than being their science experiment--a figurative guinea pig the size of a literal guinea pig. If only she was a little bit smaller, maybe Patti could squeeze through the bars of the cage, but they must have taken that into consideration when they shrunk her to her current size. She didn't think about how she'd get down off the lab counter or how she'd get out of the lab at her size, because none of that mattered if she couldn't escape her cage first.

Still, while they weren't looking, she had to at least try. Patti sucked in her gut, squashed her breasts, and strained with all her might to bend the bars just a little so she could squeeze between them, but all her efforts were failing. The irony wasn't lost on her that she was small enough to fit into such a space yet she was not small enough to escape from it.
