Dr. Clarissa Winterhaven was one of the most respected physics professors at Nye University. She was an intelligent, well-spoken, and overall considerate individual who always wanted to see the students she lectured do well and achieve as much as she had in life.
However, there were two students in her course who were having a little more trouble than most this semester - the rebellious Heather McAddams and the elitist Bridget Brownstone. Both girls were suffering from extremely poor grades, so when Dr. Winterhaven offered them additional credit in exchange for their help with one of her extracurricular experiments, they jumped at the opportunity.
As it turned out, all Dr. Winterhaven needed them for was to act as test subjects for her latest invention: a matter compressor. She had already tested the device on several inanimate objects and, by using the 'amplification' function, she was always able to return them to their normal size. Now it was time for human trials.
Heather and Bridget were instructed to stand on a nearby platform while Dr. Winterhaven activated the device. Heather and Bridget were enveloped by a faint blue glow before a powerful flash of light overtook the room.
Once her eyes refocused, Dr. Winterhaven prepared to inspect her work, but instead found herself letting out a surprised gasp as she inadvertently dropped her compressor, smashing it into hundreds of pieces when it collided with the ground.
Atop the platform were two four inch tall girls, except that one of them was completely immobilized by her mountainous chest. Heather lunged toward Bridget, overwhelmed by the sheer scale of her, while Bridget struggled to even move within the confines of her own body.
As she listened to Heather and Bridget's high-pitched squeaks, Dr. Winterhaven came to realize her experiment yielded some unforeseen consequences...
1) She did not take into account the reaction the ray would have against the plastic in Bridget's chest implants, resulting in the size of her chest remaining unchanged while the rest of Bridget's body shrunk down as planned.
2) The ray also had an unforeseen side effect, leaving both girls overwhelmed with sensations they struggled to control.
3) In her excitement to test out her newest invention, Dr. Winterhaven had forgotten to attach the device's protective rear-guard, exposing her body to residual reduction rays. Thus, she was left three-feet two-inches in height, and unsure if she could ever find a way to return them all back to normal.
